Highclere Castle Wedding – Lucy + Christian (part 1)

I was incredibly lucky to have been asked to photograph Lucy and Christian’s wedding. Not only they are wonderful people, and a beautiful couple that is truly in love, but their wedding reception was held at the magnificent Highclere Castle, which holds special place in Lucy and Christian’s hearts.

And I’ve got so much to share from this wedding, that I think I’d break it into two blog posts! So look out for the second one!

The groom was spending time with his friends and family at the Carnarvon Arms -  a lovely country inn a short drive from the Castle…

…while the bride was getting ready at the Castle.

A girl can’t wish for a more stunning room to get ready in, can she?

Lucy receives a little present from Christian…

Love, love, love Lucy’s beautiful dress. It suited her oh so perfectly.

The wedding service was held at the lovely Church of the Acsention in Burghclere.

Just married!!

A little surprise was waiting for Lucy at the lychgate…

Lucy’s flowergirl was tasked with looking after the train of the dress… which she responsibly did throughout the wedding day!

And while the new Mrs and Mrs were having a minute to themselves…

The wonderful band were Fernando’s Kitchen and I would totally have them at my own wedding (if we ever get round to doing it properly).

The castle has so much character it’s unbelievable!

Stay tuned for part 2!

The lovely suppliers are:

The venue: Highclere Castle

The dress: Maggie Sottero

Bridesmaids dresses: Katherine Tailoring

The cake: Paul Fitzpatrick of Save Me A Slice

Flowers: by Lucy and her sister

Hair accessory: Tantrums and Tiaras

Band: Fernando’s Kitchen (can be seen basking and doing gigs in Cambridge and London)

And huge thank you to the amazing Tamara Kuzminski who second shot for me on the day.
